Kamyn Asher is a creative writer and curious mystic. Originally hailing from the US, she now calls Amsterdam home. She is inspired by the mundane and the magical alike and tries to infuse both these perspectives into her work. In addition to her poetry, she just finished a collection of short stories and is currently working on her first novel.

I eat peaches straight out of the can
Juicy, and sickly-sweet twilight; sugary pearls between my fingers
The sun sets after bedtime, christening the sky

And then the thunder claps between my father's hands
The house of cards collapses
The can is tossed away
The last of the juice - the part I missed or forgot - pooling at the bottom of the bin
